The Apostles Creed - Solid Ground for Shaky Lives

The Apostles Creed

"I believe..."

From the early days of the church, the Apostles Creed has been a manifesto of the Christian faith delivered to us in the Bible. If you've had a Catholic, Anglican or Orthodox upbringing, you may have even learned the creed off by heart! The Apostles Creed provides an excellent summary of why the Christian faith is solid ground for everyone, even when life is at its shakiest.

Anyone is welcome to join us as we work our way through this ancient creed this Winter.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

    creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father,

and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,

    the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.
